The Stampede was the brainchild of a long writing session and a bunch of caffeine. I wanted a place in the school for the wallflowers, the writers, and the photographers to showcase their work. I wanted a place for bronco brilliance and the only way to do it, was to start my own publication. That's what I did and with the help of a few "magazine misfits" and the our local newspaper printing the it, Blackfoot High had their very first biannual literary magazine. The logos above are it's first two incarnations. I will be leaving the magazine as part of my legacy at the school and hope it evolves and changes and grows even more than it has under my leadership.
In a collaborative effort between Michaella Wood and I we designed these as our first two magazine covers.
I didn't know where I wanted to take this new publication at first, but after page three I knew I had something unique.
